Rick charges $400 per hour for time spent during the mediation and for time to prepare for the mediation. If the mediation involves 4 or more parties, the rate is $500 per hour. Rick does not charge for travel time to any location within 75 miles of his office in Lawrence, Kansas.

For travel more than 75 miles from his office, Rick charges a half rate of $200.00 per hour for travel time. Please note that Rick's services are retained by the lawyers, not their clients or their insurers, and the lawyers and their firms are responsible for payment of invoices.

Rick charges a minimum of four (4) hours ($1,600.00) for the Mediation. Payment of the minimum charge is due three (3) days prior to commencing the Mediation. Rick will provide an invoice via email to the Parties' respective counsel for all hours spent in excess of four (4) hours.

Fees and expenses will be split equally between the parties unless the parties agree otherwise. Invoices are due upon receipt and payments may be made by check or credit card.
